Today Pastor Brent has been in conversation with our Leadership Team trying to discern what is best for our church family, in light of the COVID-19 crisis.  As you are likely aware, government health authorities have issued several directives regarding public gatherings in an attempt to halt the spread of the virus.   After prayer and discernment the Leadership Team has canceled our worship service this Sunday, March 15.

By Sunday morning you will be able to view a video of Pastor Brent’s sermon on our website.  Attached to this email you can view the bulletin.  Pastor Brent and Lana welcome anyone who is feeling well to gather on Sunday at their home for fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and coffee (#1117 – 11497 236th Street…apologies for limited parking).

In times like this, it is easy to be pulled toward extremes.  Some may trivialize and downplay the situation.  Others may be traumatized, especially with all the media messages.  But as followers of Jesus we have His peace and presence to lead us.  In making this decision we have also been helped by input from our Fellowship Pacific executive director, David Horita, who reminds to continue to live out Christ’s mission…

  • Continue to share the love of Christ through word and deed.
  • Continue to build and grow disciples.
  • Model cooperation with our governmental authorities - up-to-date information is at www.bccdc.ca
  • Demonstrate a life of peace and faith.

Looking ahead, there will be no Youth night on March 16, because of spring break.  Due to the smaller group size, the Conquer Course will go ahead on March 17 as planned.  As for the status of the Worship Service next week, please watch for further information that will come by email.  We are still planning on having our Breakfast Moving Bee on March 28. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
