Max Lucado has summarized well how so many Christians feel about prayer...but also how we might put our feelings about it into proper persective.  "Our prayers may be awkward.  Our attempts may be feeble.  But since the power of prayer is in the One who hears and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference."

At Cornerstone Neighbourhood Church, we long for our praying to be about loving God and depending upon Him.  In each gathering, whether it is a Leadership Team meeting or a worship service, we want to include an opportunity to turn to God in prayer.  We also recognize that growing in a prayer relationship with God takes time, and even training.

Currently we have three specific prayer initiatives taking place within our congregation:

  • Pre-service Prayer  -  Sundays at 10 am
  • Concert of Prayer  -  First Sunday of the month at 7 pm
  • Prayer Email  -  a confidential group prayer email for special requests

Our Pastor is part of a group of community pastors who meet weekly for prayer.  Flowing from this connection, Cornerstone is now becoming linked with an exciting new community prayer initiative:
