At first, this question, "are you all in?" might make you think about the end of a long day of work.  It might conjure up images of spending time with your children whose energy always seems to exceed your own.  There are many times when we are exhausted and feel "all in".

This morning at men's breakfast, our guest speaker was Brad McDonald who leads Quest Men's Ministry at Riverside Church in PoCo.  Brad's question to us was simple:  "are you all in with Jesus?".  Obviously, this is not about physical exhaustion.  Rather it is a matter of submitting our lives fully and continually to the rule and reign of Jesus.  Here is a simple, but profound, way of remembering this challenge...

A     Allow God to lead your steps - Proverbs 3:5-6

L     Lose your life to find it in Christ - Matthew 10:39

L     Love the Lord with all your heart - Mark 12:30

I      Invest your time in His eternal kingdom - Matthew 6:33

N    Never hold back from His calling - Luke 9:23

Our next men's breakfast will be on November 28.  But between now and then, don't hesitate to reach out if you are in need of prayer and encouragement.  As Brad challenged us, the best way to pursue a life of being "all in with Jesus" is to have a mentor and prayer partner.  Speak to Rick Hicks or Pastor Brent if this is something that interests you.
